This ox (うし ushi) emerges from between the tall susuki grass. Susuki grass is native to Japan and is admired for its shimmering fronds.

If your birthday falls in 1959, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, or 2021, then you were born in the year of the ox and this print is for you.

Each of these works is an original handcarved and handprinted linocut blockprint, part of a limited edition of only 50 pieces. Each blockprint is handprinted on archival cotton printmakers’ paper with four hand-torn or deckle edges. Because each print in the edition is a handmade original, there will be slight variations between pieces. Each print is sold unframed.
